My Story

I am taking part in the Strathcarron Step Challenge this July to help Strathcarron nurses and frontline staff continue to care for local people living with, and dying from, a terminal illness during the COVID-19 crisis.

Last year my wonderful and courageous Dad spent his last days in the care of the Strathcarron Angels.  The whole staff community looked after him like he was a King and made those last days as easy as possible for not only my Dad but his family and friends too.

This is only a small way of saying thank you for all you did and continue to do, you genuinely are Angels - I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Strathcarron's running costs are largely the same as always and the Hospice relies on voluntary income of £12,900 every day of the year. As an independent charity, Strathcarron is not part of the NHS, and therefore will not benefit from the incredible fundraising efforts being made at this time. Its charity shops are closed, fundraising events cancelled, and financial support is needed now more than ever during these unsettling times.

Please donate what you can and help Strathcarron continue to care for those in need right now and in the future. xx
